How do you feel your ECT experience has been so far?

I have really enjoyed my ECT experience so far. I have enjoyed it because you always receive support from your mentor and all the staff are lovely as well. I feel like I have been able to investigate inquiry questions as well, and we always meet with other schools around the training hub, which makes me feel supported.

What is a highlight of your ECT journey?

Taking the children on trips and being trusted with that and seeing all the progress that children have made.

What would you say to someone considering an ECT role at the Harris Federation?

I would say to do it because you get the practical experience in the classroom as well as studying. You get one day of studying at Harris and then you get your practical. I know that I learn by doing so that is why I chose to be an ECT at Harris.

What do you love about being a Teacher?

The thing that I love most is seeing the children every day. At the beginning of the year, it can seem scary, but then as you start to build that relationship with the children you see how far they have come. That’s why we all do what we do.
