Highlights from the Harris Federation Recruitment Fair 2025
We had a wonderful time welcoming passionate educators and aspiring teachers to our recruitment fair. It was a day filled with networking, career advice, and inspiring workshops, all aimed at supporting the next steps in our attendees’ careers.
Entering the impressive Grand Hall at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in central London, attendees were met with a vibrant room filled with over 40 marketplace stalls, each adorned with branded banners, prospectuses and merchandise showcasing academies, partners, and the training and development arm of Harris Federation, Harris Institute.
Senior leaders, Principals and external representatives were on-hand to discuss current vacancies and career pathways, as well as development opportunities offered by the likes of Now Teach and Harris Institute.
Kicking off the talks for the day were Laura Tarantini Amor and Alison Charlton, who took a deep-dive into the skill sets held by Teaching Assistants, opportunities for progression and success stories from within the Federation.
Harris Federation CEO Sir Dan Moynihan took to the stage next, sharing the impact of Harris Federation, our strong track record of results, and our vision for the future.
One of the event’s highlights was the popular interactive talk on Crafting a Winning Application and Preparing for a Successful Interview, hosted by Harris Institute’s Regional Principal, Shona Findlay, and featuring a panel of Harris leaders. Attendees explored what makes an application stand out, the key factors that lead to being shortlisted, and some top tips for interview technique.
Throughout the day, attendees had the chance to connect with like-minded professionals, discuss their career aspirations and explore upcoming jobs and training programmes.
