About Us
We are the leading large multi-academy trust in the country.
Our focus is on rapid school improvement and transforming education for some of the most disadvantaged young people across London.
We have 55 academies, educating over 44,000 students. We are a Federation rather than a chain, and the autonomy of our Principals, and their individual schools is at the heart of our success.
Our ECT programme is led by the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT), offering you robust and thorough training to support you to develop the skills you need to become an established and confident classroom practitioner. This two-year programme is underpinned by the Early Career Framework, developing your self-evaluation, professional, subject and curricula knowledge, enabling you to realise your potential in the classroom.
Main Areas of Responsibility
We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London and helping create exceptional places of learning. We want to hear from trainee teachers who are interested in joining one of our high performing and thriving departments, with vacancies available across primary and secondary.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must have completed, or be on track to complete, their PGCE/PGCE School Direct training.
Next Steps
If you are a current trainee teacher looking to secure your first job as a qualified teacher in September, or an established Early Career Teacher looking to develop your career, register to join our ECT talent network and a member of our Talent Acquisition Team will contact you to discuss opportunities that best match your preferences and experience.
Professional Development & Benefits
Our people are at the heart of our success. We have developed a strong culture of collaboration and best practice, with professional development and career planning at its centre. We invest in our staff with support, coaching, mentoring, and a wide range of top-quality training programmes delivered at every level.
In addition to the opportunities for career development and progression, we also offer a competitive rewards and benefits package which includes our Harris Allowance for teachers on MPS/UPS, a Performance and Loyalty Bonus, Pension Scheme with generous employer contributions, a Wellbeing Cash Plan and many other benefits. Learn more about our benefits on our website.
Safeguarding Notice
The Harris Federation and all our academies are committed to ensuring the highest levels of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All offers of employment are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, references, an online search, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed.
Equal Opportunities
The Harris Federation is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
We value the diversity of our staff and students, and everyone at the Harris Federation is equally valued and respected. We aim to be an inclusive employer that reflects the communities we serve. We are committed to providing a fair, equitable and mutually supportive learning and working environment.
