Emily

Head of Fundraising and Partnerships

Emily

Everyone here is highly talented, and everyone really cares. Everyone is really authentically motivated; no one is doing it for anything but the right reasons. People are really willing to help. So many staff at all levels have been willing to give me their time and their expertise which has been invaluable.

Emily is our Head of Fundraising and Partnerships and plays a pivotal role in securing external support to enhance the educational experience for students. She focuses on two main aspects: raising funds from private individuals, corporate entities, and trusts, as well as establishing partnerships with organisations interested in collaborating with our academies.

Emily's journey into fundraising started as a student where she worked as a telephone fundraiser, which she excelled at. Her career path led her to a fundraising consultancy and later an independent school, where she raised over £10 million in eight years. She joined Harris for a new challenge in a not for profit educational environment.

Emily emphasises the importance of fundraising in enabling Harris to provide high-quality education, experiences, and opportunities, and her work has supported a wide range of initiatives, from practical solutions like breakfast clubs for hungry students to groundbreaking research projects that can benefit the entire education sector.
